Ayleen Cabas-Mijares is an assistant professor of journalism and media studies at Marquette University, Diederich College of Communication. Using a critical/cultural lens, Ayleen examines the relationship between media, journalism, and social change, specifically the role of media in the constitution and activism of social movements. Ayleen’s work centers phenomena in the context of Latin America and the Latinx diaspora.
